A two-day summer holiday training camp for all optimist sailors.

Membership:
To participate in this training camp, sailors must be a member of WAIODA (Western Australian International Optimist Dinghy Association). If you are not a current member, please sign-up or renew here: https://www.waioda.org.au/registration/
Camp Schedule:
Tuesday 19 December and Wednesday 20 December 2023.
Open and Intermediate Fleets: 9am to 4pm
Green Fleet: 9am to 12:30pm
Cost:
Open and Intermediate Fleets: $60 per sailor
Green Fleet: $30 per sailor
Coaches:
Lead coach will be Grant Alderson.
Location:
The training will be run out of Hillarys Yacht Club, 64 Northside Drive, Hillarys, Western Australia.
Boat drop:
Families are welcome to drop off equipment and boats on Saturday 16 or Sunday 17 December 2023, 9am to 2pm (on the lawn next to the ramp).
Canteen:
There will be a Snack Shack available, and a fundraising sausage sizzle.
Parking:
There is plenty of parking inside the yacht club at the west end. More outside the yacht club, if required.
What to bring:
What should each sailor bring to the camp?
- Notebook and pen
- Snacks and lunch
- Tape measure – Intermediate and Open sailors (if you have one)
- Boat spares and equipment
- Sports clothing and shoes for fitness
- Spare change of clothes and a towel to get changed into after your on water session
- Refillable water bottle
- Sailing watch (if you have one)
- Optimist and all sails and spars.
