The WAIODA and Ron Tough Yachting Foundation Pre-States Camp was held at the beautiful Nedlands Yacht Club.

It was a great opportunity for our WAIODA sailors to meet with the Ron Tough Yachting Foundation. Thanks very much Paul Green for speaking with our young sailors and a huge thank you to the RTYF for supporting this camp and WAIODA.

Day 1 presented a very windy start with the open fleet getting out onto the water and the intermediate sailors completing a land based session.

The sailors also had the opportunity to meet Tom Hodge Media who was documenting some of the skills sessions.

The conditions on day 2 were much lighter. Green, intermediate and open fleet hit the water early to make the most out of the breeze. This skills session was followed by lunch and then a mini regatta for all of the fleets combined. This gave our sailors the opportunity to start on a crowded start line and improve on their racing skills.

Thanks for coaching these awesome sessions Michael Compton, Axel Fleet & Toby Coote, not only did the sailors learn a lot but had great fun too!
