Please join RFBYC as they present four sessions of targeted skill training for young girls and women.
Dates: Saturday 24th May; Sunday 15th June; Saturday 2nd August; and Saturday 6th September at RFBYC.
Our mission over this Winter is to create an environment where our upcoming dinghy girls can learn, develop and train together as squads of sailors.
Desired Outcomes of the 2025 program:
To increase connection between girls who sail in Western Australia, for the participants to inspire each other to continue in the sport of sailing. We will provide targeted skill development by Australian Sailing Coaches to embed independent skills in the Girls, practice the fundamentals of racing, and improve technical knowledge. We hope to foster a positive environment that carries through into Club and State Training.
Like last year program, we will have two groups within the program. There might be cross over where we get the Girls to team up and sail together in RFBYC supplied equipment. Both groups are asked to bring their dinghy/ sailing equipment to each session.
Group 1: 0900 to 1300
Cost: $25 per session
For Juniors (7 years to 15 years 11 months old)
Invited Classes: Optimist, O’pen Skiff, RS Feva and Mirror.
Group 2: 0900 to 1700
WAIS Coaches: Matt Jerwood & Tristan Brown will be in attendance.
Cost; $35 per session
For Youth/Young Adults (16 years to 24 years)
Invited Classes: ILCA, 29er, 420 & iQFOIL
Sailors must have a minimum Intermediate or Advanced fleet level competency to participate in either Junior or Youth/Young Adult training programs.

* You will be asked a series of questions that will be provided to program coaches to assist with the planning for the four days.
* Guests will need to pre-pay by Credit Card. Members can choose to pay by Credit Card or Member Account.
Please encourage fellow Girls from your Club or invited Class Association who might be interested to register. Please save the dates in your diary and register early so we know how many coaches we need in attendance for all sessions.
