Committee nominations now open

Nominations are invited for all office bearers and committee positions for the 2026/27 season.

Being part of the WAIODA Committee is a rewarding way to support our sailors, strengthen the class, and contribute to the continued growth of Optimist sailing in Western Australia. All members are encouraged to consider nominating.

Committee positions include:

• President
• Vice-President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Publicity Officer
• Training and Development Coordinator - Team WA
• Training and Development Coordinator - Squads/Clinics/States
• Trophy / Prize Officer
• Club Fleet Representatives

Strategic office bearer tasks include governance and organisational oversight, membership administration, financial management, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship coordination and strategic planning. During 2026/27, the Executive will also lead preparations within WAIODA remit for the 2028 National Championship in Perth.
